Riad Chergui is a hidden jewel. A plain outside door from a very narrow street opens into Moroccan comfort, a lofty pool and earnest staff. 9 rooms and suites on two separate floors congregate around the poolside. From single room to junior suites, they come elegantly furnished and spotlessly clean, yet retaining an unmistakably Moroccan patina. Guests enjoy generous breakfasts of bread, pastries, fresh fruit, eggs, yogurt and coffee. Dinner and lunch are also available on request. Emmanuelle, the owner, Nouredine and Abdul, her subsitutes and the rest of the staff speak English, French and other languages. Wine, beer or other drinks which came with sides of peanuts and olives are served in the afternoon by the pool. The riad is within 5 minutes from a taxi drop off point, Dar El Bacha palace and Bab Doukkala Mosque.
