Opened in 2003, Lma Lodge has 4 beautifully appointed rooms and 3 suites. The owners, Vanessa and Xavier, and their 2 children, Charlie and Milo, make the place feel very much alive. And there’s quite a few things to keep everyone interested here, adults and children alike – you should listen to what Vanessa recommends. Heated pool from April through October, different open air terraces spread around the huge gardens, petanque terrain, playground for children, a piano and a guitar and most importantly, the calm that reigns supreme as there is no route passing by the house. From the roof terrace there are 360 degree views of the surrounding palm trees, magnificent sunsets and in the distance, the beautiful Atlas Mountains with its snow capped peaks during the winter.
The rooms are centrally heated with wall mounted units for those chilly winter nights and ceiling fans for hot summer days. The 3 suites are a double and 2 of them can comfortably sleep up to 5 people so ideal for families. The attention to detail is pervading, from toiletries and soaps to quality bedding, tadelakt bathrooms, sound insulation and the exquisite dishes in the kitchen. The speciality of the house ? Lait citron. Most ingredients here come from the gardens and the goat cheese is locally sourced. Home made gems, bread and pancakes are on display at breakfast. The restaurant also caters for vegetarians, food allergies and serves alcohol. We’d tell you about the things to do in the surrounding palm grove, but you wouldn’t want to leave the house and its premises once you are here…
