From one afternoon to a 4 day trek, this region offers quite a few possibilities for brave trekkers. This desert of stone makes for the perfect setting in winter: nights under the stars, camp fires, furtive encounters, frozen-lava drenched gorges, sheer promontories, wild fauna, but also lush palm groves and natural pools then when you least expect it. Bring sturdy shoes – you’ll be walking on rubble and scree mostly.
