Where to stay – Morocco riads and boutique & luxury kasbahs, palaces and eco-lodges.
More often than not, they are run by people with a passion for Morocco. And it shows. Wouldn’t you rather spend the night in a riad where the owner shares local insider tips over breakfast ? Where you can peek into the kitchen and even lend a hand to preparing dinner ? Where you get invited to one of staff’s home for tea or lunch and see how the locals live ? Not only we are familiar with each property, but also know which one would fit best your particulars, whether you are on honeymoon, on a Morocco family holiday, traveling with a group of friends or a couple looking to enjoy their healthy retirement.
Even though Trip Advisor and the likes have revolutionized the way we travel nowadays, fake reviews and photoshopped images are still abundant. Every few months we travel across Morocco, anonymously trying out new and established riads, kasbahs and eco-lodges. Additionally, if our guests rate poorly one particular property several times, we remove it from our portfolio. We don’t trust magazines or press releases and believe that reviews sites are merely the tip of the iceberg. To most of these accommodations, a star rating per se wouldn’t make any sense. Thus we have come up with our own rating and wording that, for us, best resume the different ranges: Dreamers, Privilege and Divine .
