The best accommodation you can get, considering the coordinates.
Amtoudi is probably one of the best- kept secrets in Morocco. The 8 century old granaries are unique and the spectacular gorges put Todra Gorges to shame. Tigmi Bulbul is the creation of Georges and Rachid. Georges is French and used to run On Dirait Le Sud, a gite located on the opposite side of the gorge. I remember spending a very chilly night there sleeping on a bench a few years back, under a lot of blankets, after a hot shower in the dark. Well, things have improved. Tigmi Bulbul is a proper guest house. It ain’t the Ritz, don’t get us wrong. The bed sheets could use an upgrade. In certain rooms, the hot water barely drips if the kitchen is using it. Georges is not always a spring of joy. But Rachid makes some dinners to die for. There’s beer in the fridge. Rooms are large, clean and rustic. The views from the terrace alone are worth the trip. And the gorges… just make sure you trek all the way up and catch your breath underneath that lonely palm tree. You may just catch an eagle taking flight. Best visited all year round.
